Many startup entrepreneurs dream of being the next “Unicorn” company. That’s right, those companies that somehow get valued over $1 billion dollars yet are burning through cash and trying to get big “fast”. Many aren’t even profitable in the traditional sense. Don’t get me wrong, some may be worth every penny but in my opinion much is merely hype.

My advice for a beginning entrepreneur is simple. Focus on building a great product or service that has a market. Put all your passion, drive and energy into it and live it! If you are not passionate about what you are doing and just trying to cash in, people can tell. People can also distinguish those who really care about what they are doing! My focus has always been on creating a great company with great solutions, all delivered by great people.

That’s my philosophy.
